    What is PCOS & PCOD ?

             PCOD / PCOS ie 'poly cystic ovary disorder' or 'poly cystic ovary syndrome'.

    In this, the level of the male hormone androgen increases in the woman's uterus, resulting in cysts in the ovary.

    It is surprising that no cause has been known till date of this disease and it is still a matter of research, but the doctors believe that this problem

    arises due to hormonal imbalance, obesity or stress in women.

    Due to excess fat in the body, the quantity of estrogen hormone starts to increase, due to which cysts are formed in the ovary.

    Currently, one in every ten women of childbearing age is falling prey to it.


    Experts also say that women who live stressful lives are more likely to have polycystic ovarian syndrome.

    1. Butterfly pose (तितली आसन) :-Can prove to be extremely beneficial in correcting the problem of PCOS.  Do not move your feet too much while doing this.  Try to remain in this posture for a long time.

Supta Badhakonasana (सुप्त बद्धकोणासन) :- Sleeping Badkkonasana is a very good posture to correct the problem of PCOS.  This asana is done like butterfly pose but the only difference is that it is done by easy lying down, so it is very comfortable as well.  This asana can also be performed with good music and by placing a pillow under your hips.

    3. Bharadvajasana (भारद्वाजासन) :- In Bhardwajasana, spinal muscles are pulled which is very good for PCOS patients.

    4. Chakki Chalanasana ( चक्की चलनासन ) :- Chakkichalasana (This posture seems similar to running a mill.) This is a very easy asana and has many benefits.  It massages the uterus, ovaries, kidneys and other body parts and makes them healthy.

    5. Shavasana ( शवासन ) :- It is also the main posture that can be done to correct the problem of polycystic ovarian syndrome.  The more you relax in this posture, the healthier you will feel.  To relax from perfection, this asana should be done at the end of yoga practice.

    6. Padma Sadhana ( पद्मसाधना ):- It is a very good method for patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome.  Note: While doing yoga, you should not do asanas like Naukasana, Bhujangasana and Superman pose for a long time because these asanas put more pressure on the lower abdomen.



    7. Sun Salutation ( सूर्य नमस्कार ):- For weight loss, you can do Surya Namaskar at a fast pace, but try to do some Surya Namaskar visits at a slow pace daily so that your body can get rest.

    Some tips to connect with nature

    1. Spend some time alone with nature
    2. Eat a good nutritious diet.
    3. Exercise daily. 
    4. Walking daily is also a good way to lose weight.
    5. Find some ways to calm your mind.  Do not worry too much.  Listen to some music and read good books.
